Stewardship Work Parties

Give back to the Gorge; no experience neccesary! We provide all the tools and encourage carpooling.

Most stewardship work parties are led by Stewardship Volunteer Coordinator Mika Barrett or Land Trust Stewardship Coordinator Sara Woods and are from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. If the work party is full, we encourage you to add your name to the waitlist as we do our best to accommodate everyone on the wait lists.

Volunteers who attend three or more work parties are rewarded with a Friends of the Columbia Gorge t-shirt!

Winter Stewardship Schedule:

Please note, this winter we will be in "mulching mode" (so to speak) here at the office. We mulch plants to keep the roots warm and prepare for their growing season in spring. Similarly, we need to invest some time for planning and system improvements this winter to ensure the impact of our stewardship efforts can grow. Although on the surface there will be less stewardship events this winter, there will be a lot of activity happening beneath the surface to prepare for next year's restoration projects. And mulching will help both our plants and the stewardship program continue to thrive!

Please be sure to check back in the late winter for new stewardship work parties!
