In light of the increased risk of Novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Oregon and Washington, Friends of the Columbia Gorge is suspending all guided hikes for March and through April 19, all stewardship work parties scheduled through April 12, and our Annual Meeting & Luncheon scheduled for April 19. We apologize for any inconvenience, however, public and community health must come first. (If you have additional questions on the Annual Meeting cancellation please contact Friends Development Manager Elizabeth Brooke-Willbanks at elizabeth@gorgefriends.org.)

For decades, the dedication and passion of Friends' members, volunteers, activists, and other supporters have been the heart and soul of our work. And in light of the most recent guidance by Washington and Oregon state leaders, we want to take prudent, proactive steps to help keep our volunteers, members, and staff healthy by supporting state and local social distancing measures and canceling events scheduled for March and April.

Friends is currently talking with partners and actively monitoring relevant federal, state, and local health guidance and will make announcements on the status for future events as the situation evolves and the full scope of the novel coronavirus becomes clearer.

Thanks for your ongoing support for Friends and the Columbia Gorge.
